Founder & Owner
Hello! I’m Mitch Hazen. As the founder of Cornerstone Construction Services, I’ll be the first person you meet at your estimate and your guide through every step of project planning. A third-generation carpenter, I was raised with the work ethic, honesty, and craftsmanship my father and grandfather lived by. With 30 years in residential and 17 in commercial renovation, I personally oversee your project through weekly site visits and owner meetings. My life is built on my faith, my family, and a genuine love for remodeling. I sincerely look forward to bringing your vision to life.
Tyler Markovetz
Crew Lead
As your Crew Lead, I’m the person responsible for the daily pulse of your project. From our kickoff meeting to the final cleanup, I’m on-site managing our skilled crew and subcontractors to ensure every detail meets our high standards. I’ve been with Cornerstone for six years, and I truly love the intricacies of the renovation process. My goal is simple: a safe, clean jobsite and a finished space that exceeds your expectations. When I’m off-site, I’m usually recharging with my wife, our dog, and our friends. I look forward to serving you.
James Fournier
Crew Lead
I am a carpenter by trade and by heart. Growing up on jobsites across Kansas City, I learned the art of trim and doors from my father. Now, with nearly three years at Cornerstone, I still find the greatest joy in the ‘before and after’—watching a vision come to life. Mitch ensures our leads are involved from the first day to the final walkthrough, so you always have a trusted partner on-site. I’m truly pumped to meet you and bring that lifetime of craftsmanship to your next project.
